Three things worth knowing before you start

— Messy is fine. Incomplete is fine. A gap tells us something too. We'd rather see the true picture than a polished one.

— Everything stays yours. Any access you grant is read-only and revoked when the audit is done.

— Takes about 15 minutes of typing, plus dropping in files at your own pace.

What does a bad week look like right now? Be honest — this usually points straight at the biggest leak. If you could hand off one part of this business tomorrow, what would it be? If you stepped back from the day-to-day for six weeks — what breaks first? No wrong answer. "Everything, by day two" is a real answer.

You and the business

No document you send us contains these four answers, and every finding in your audit gets measured against them. Approximate is fine. Honest matters more than precise.

What do you want the business to pay you? Take-home for yourself — not revenue. Annual or monthly, whichever you think in. Tell us if that's before or after tax. How many hours a week do you want to work? The number that would make this a business you'd keep doing. How many hours a week do you actually work? Count the evening email and the Sunday catch-up. Most owners are surprised by this one. Roughly, where do those hours go? A rough split across the four is enough. We'll tighten it during the audit.
